New 2 BBL Fermenter

We have just added our new 80 gallon fermenter from Stout Tanks and Kettles. We will be brewing about 50 gallons of our English Ale on Saturday to try out our new addition. You can see on the right the old 40 gallon mini brew tanks that will be forced into retirement.

Brew Club Member

We have the newest member of the Double Bird Brew club for 2011 it is Matt Tellier. We now have 5 members as part of our club and are looking for a couple more for 2011 as either full or half members. Thanks to Stout Tanks and Kettles we will be adding a new stainless steel 2bbl fermenter to the club that will be replacing our 2 plastic40 gallon mini brew fermenters. Pictures will follow. Next brew date is expected to be Jan 29 starting at about 1pm. We are waiting till then to make sure we have the new fermenter delivered and in place.

Kentucky Vanilla Porter

Brewing in November....Kentucky Vanilla Porter. Home grown honey, vanilla bean and a bourbon soaked piece of oak in each keg.

Waterbury Brew Fest 2010
